JAAAAAA! Dentist!

Yes that’s right, I have a dental appointment today. Like many other people I HATE going. The last time I went (ok, it was after a 7 year hiatus) I had 7, yes 7, cavities. Some quite deep. It is in about an hour and I still have to pull myself together to get to work afterwards.

Anyway, so Mom and L came other for dinner last night. L is in town this week for meetings at the last minute. This means she was able to go to a friend’s open house the day she got in and then drive to NJ to see her godchild then swing around to my house for fajitas and Margaritas. I don’t know how she does it. I think she must be used to the flight and jet lag by now. It was a nice evening and this morning I had the hint of a tequilla headache but it’s gone now.

For those of you with Trader Joe’s near by, I used their Carne Asada marinated beef for the fajitas last night. It ROCKS! You must try it. We also had shrimp and the rest of the fixin’s for fajitas, mostly couresy of TJ’s. Maybe I should work there. ;)

I think that’s all for me. I have been told I have a couple memes waiting for me so I will try to get to those later and catch up from the weekend.

    Jaaaaaa!! Yeah, I haven’t been to the dentist in 7 years and probably have 7 cavities too. Oh, how I loathe the dentist. Not personally, of course. I don’t have a Trader Joe’s, but everyone keeps talking about it. Is it a grocery store or what?I don’t have an Ikea either. Apparently, I’m missing out big time.

I *like* going to the dentist because you can always have a nice chat to start with, and the chair is always comfy though it is never long enough for me, but that’s just a 1m 96 thing.Trader Joe’s, huh?     I love Trader Joe’s. In fact, I want to marry TJ and have his babies.I LOVE their carne asada… We also buy their Sashimi Grade Ahi Tuna. Marinate it in their teriyaki sauce and sear in oil… DELICIOUS. TJ is the reason I came back to Cali… that and the sun.

    I hate going to the dentist too. I always go at the same time as my sons, which can be a mixed blessing. I hope it goes okay for you and you don’t have too many nasty surprises.

    Hate hate hate hate hate hate hate the dentist. I heard once that dentists have the highest rate of professional suidide (that is, professionals who COMMIT suicide, not people who commit suicide as a profession) because everyone hates to go. Think that’s true?
